Biography

My name is Venatius Kosisochukwu Anyanwu, native of Umuevu Umumpe in Ahiazu Mbaise local Government Area of Imo State, with a bachelor and master’s degrees in Soil and Water Engineering from the Department of Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria.  I currently an Assistant lecturer after working as a laboratory Technologist for 11 years, in Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering (Soil and Water Resource Engineering Management emphasis) at Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Nigeria the same University. As part of my MSc. thesis, I studied the reliability of six evapotranspiration models in three states in South Eastern Nigeria. was with an emphasis on RELIABILITY STUDIES OF SIX EVAOTRANSPIRATION MODELS IN THREE SELECTED STATES, where l developed a correction factors for the models that did not perform well in the stations and in South Eastern Nigeria, l also derived a location-specific best-fit model that were best fit based on location specific using a T-value and statistical programs.  For my bachelor’s thesis, I designed gully erosion control measures with keen interest in conservation Engineering. I have published more than four papers from these studies in peer-reviewed journals to demonstrate my skills in scientific writing co-authored some scientific publications .l am interested in building upon my research experience in GIS application in Soil and Water Conservation; Evapotranspiration Measurements; Irrigation and Drainage application and expanding my research in Biosystems Engineering as l ‘m already a researcher. I am looking for PhD opportunity and open to any research. I am happily married with beautiful children.
