Research Interest

Management of Genetic Variation of indigenous livestock species and poultry, with the application of recent technologies in molecular biology, using newly developed genomic tools to characterize and improve genetic traits in local livestock species. Currently was in reviewing the state of the Nigerian indigenous poultry genetic resources, specifically the domestic fowl in the south-east of Nigeria. African Chicken Genetic Gain (ACGG) Project, a platform where she tested, delivered and continuously improved tropically adapted chicken for productivity growth in Sub-Saharan Africa.

This metamorphosed to form Small Holder Poultry Forum a public private driven organ for development.

Other Interest

Developing introductory skills in Bioinformatics to aid improvement of local species
