Biography

Dr. Ohia, Nnaemeka is veteran oil and gas professional with over two decades “hands-on” academic and industry experience. He consults for both local/international oil and gas producing and servicing companies engaged in multibillion dollar projects and hence, knows what truly drives performance.

Nnaemeka’s professional/technical interest in well engineering, production optimization, environmental protection and renewable energy sources has landed him with various certifications and awards around the world, including over 62 authored and co-authored journal and technical paper publications to his credit.

A bonified and active member of COREN, NSE and SPE. Ohia is also a trained technical coach and a passionate eLearning evangelist. He is the founder of OYLex© (www.oylex.co) a digital education platform with key focus on the energy sector and the academia.

Nnaemeka holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering since July 2012 and is a management and faculty member of ACEFUELS – African Center of Excellence in Future Energies and Electrochemical Systems, (www.acefuels-futo.org) domiciled at the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO). ACEFUELS is part of the World Bank ACE Project designed to actively contribute towards the development and deployment of renewable and clean energy sources in Africa.
