Biography

Dr Innocent  Uche Ojoko Nwaiwu was born on the 5th Day of April 1975, in  Umudibia village UmualumakuUmueze autonomous community, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria.

He joined the services of FUTO as an academic in 2009. Currently he is the coordinator of Post Graduate Studies in the Department and has served the University in different capacities besides his major roles of teaching and research.. Notable amongst these are his roles as the Deputy Director of FUTO Farms Ltd for three consecutive terms, and as the Examination officer of the Department for two consecutive years.

Dr. Nwaiwu is a vibrant researcher with a deep interest in contemporary issues of national and international concern. He has a diversified scope of research accomplishments in agriculture and has published articles relating to farmer’s health status, food production, input sources and types, the sustainability of production practices, the efficiency of production techniques and on environmental issues, etc. His escapades in scientific research and writings have made him an international scholar having attended and presented papers in both national and international conferences like the Duisburg-Essen Model United Nations Simulation Conference held in Duisburg-Essen University, Germany 6th-12th June 2016, and The Agricultural Economics Society Conference held in Warwick University England, the United Kingdom between 13th -15th April 2015. 

He is of Ibo tribe and speaks Igbo and English languages fluently. He is a devote Christian of the Catholic denomination. He is a social crusader and community leader. Dr Nwaiwu is happily married to Mrs Claris Oganiru Nwaiwu and they are blessed with four children namely; Ojoko, Johnwisdom Ubanna, Ojoko, Maryjane Uzochukwu, Ojoko, Anderson Ugonna and Ojoko, Jennifer Nmesoma.
