Biography

Dr Samuel Echezonachi Okere is currently the Departmental Examination officer, Department of Crop Science and Technology Federal University of Technology. He has also served as an academic adviser and also served in various Departmental and faculty committees. He is the pioneer coordinator of the Departmental mushroom research unit. He obtained his Ph.D in Mycology and Plant pathology from the famous University of Port Harcourt Rivers State Nigeria in  2017. Dr Samuel Echezonachi Okere is a member of many professional societies which include,  Mycological society of Nigeria(MYCOSON), Nigeria Society for Plant Protection(NSPP), Agricultural society of Nigeria(ASN), Botanical society of Nigeria (BOSON) ,Biotechnological Society of Nigeria ,Crop Science Society of Nigeria ( CSSN). Dr Okere is a recipient of Tetfund PhD fellowship and also  received  commendation from Edo State NYSC in 1998. Dr Okere is a native of Umueme Obike in Ngor/Okpala LGA of Imo State Nigeria. He is happily married with three children.
