Biography

Engr. Dr. (Mrs.) Genevive Chinyere Onuegbu (NEE Machiadikwe) is a senior lecturer in the department of Polymer and Textile Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Owerri.She is a native of Eziudo, in EzinihitteMbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria.

Engr.Dr. (Mrs.) G.C. Onuegbu obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) Degree in Polymer and Textile Engineering , M.Sc. Degree in Polymer Science & Engineering and Ph.D in Polymer Science from Federal University of Technology, Owerri.

She is a member of notable professional bodies such as council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Institute of Polymer Engineers (IPE), Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN), Polymer Institute of Nigeria (PIN).

Her research areas are in polymer composite, Textile Design, chemical processing of Textile, Geotextiles and Technical Textiles. She successfully supervised two Ph.D students and  three M.Sc. candidates, besides the numerous first degree holders who went through her guardianship.

Engr. Dr. (Mrs.) GeneviveChinyereOnuegbu is happily married to Pastor Kingsley C. Onuegbu and the marriage is blessed with four children, Chiziterem, Jachinma, Chineletam and Chimdalu.
