Foundry Section
Facilities at the Foundry Section
The following engineering activities are carried out in the foundry shop:
- Training of the students on the use of all foundry equipment.
- Pulley casting
- Vehicle crankshafts
- Crankcase
- Municipal casting
- Ornamentals
Note that the following also take place here;
- Conducting of Students practicals (ENG 101, 102, MME 411, MME 516)
- Melting and Casting of metals, generally for production of machine parts/components, home equipment, examples, cooking pots, spoons, for the general public.
- Construction/fabrication of Students projects.
